Every semester, for each new class of photographers, I find myself writing the same web links on the board. When I cannot remember exact URLs I ask interested students to send me an email. I'm good about checking email. So when a link request hits my inbox, I can reply with the links lickedy split.
The system works. Though not efficiently.
A central link depository was needed. One web address with links to all. But why a blog? Why not a link site? Well, this was easier. Google's Blogger interface is about as easy as things get. I already had an account. And its free.
So don't expect to RSS this page and get something new on your reader each day. You won't. SMC Photo 1 is a digital placeholder. A bookmark with bookmarks. A list of lists. It is a reservoir of knowledge that can be easily forwarded.
